Could there be some type of sporting event tied into the Festival? It might be something gimmicky, like inviting John Daily to attempt to hit a golf ball across the river. After failing to clear Niagara Falls he needs a new challenge. Okay, probably not going to happen. However, something pertaining to the river might work, I’m just not sure what. America does not have a marquee bike race. What if we billed it as the world’s greatest one day bike race, Harrisburg to Kittanning. Ed Rendell call your office. After all, this is America and people love a spectacle. The right event could have a big impact on the festival and region’s economy. Now does anyone have any ideas?
