Work Continues on Kimmel School Bridge
PennDOT Engineering District 10 is providing updated information regarding construction progress of the State Route 422 Kimmel School Bridge rehabilitation project. The Kimmel School Bridge is over Plum Creek and is near Kimmel School Road in Plumcreek Township, Armstrong County. The lane width restriction for this project is 12 feet.
Work continues on the bridge rehabilitation project with a concrete deck pour for the westbound lane of the structure planned on Friday, July 23, 2010, beginning at 6AM. The concrete placement is scheduled to be completed by the end of the day.
Motorists are advised to anticipate traffic delays and be prepared to stop. Motorists are also asked to turn on their headlights, slow down, and exercise caution when traveling through work zones.
This is a $1.8 million project to provide replacement of the bridge superstructure and deck with work being completed by Plum Contracting, Inc., of Greensburg, Westmoreland County.
