OBIT: John A. Gerboc

John A. Gerboc, age 83, of Kittanning died Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital.

He was born on July 28, 1926, in Ford City, PA to Adam and Mary (Arvay) Gerboc.

Mr. Gerboc was a member of the St. Mary’s, Our Lady of Guadalupe Church of Kittanning and with the former Holy Trinity of Ford City. John worked for Ray F. Yount Construction prior to working for PennDot for 35 years as the sign man until his retirement in 1989. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, and fishing. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Betty (Riggle) Gerboc whom he married July 28, 1956; two sons, Eric Gerboc, and Carl Gerboc and wife Beth all of Ford City; and four grandchildren, Kalli Ann Gerboc, Jaysa Gerboc, Evann Gerboc, and Nicholas Gerboc.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Adam and Steve Gerboc; and three sisters, Josephine Gerboc, Pauline Campbell, and Ann Visnosky; and an infant sister.

At the request of the family, services will be private.

Arrangements are being handled by Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc.
