Employment Opportunities Available

Applications are being accepted for a summer youth opportunity employment program for ages 16-24. Applicants who are chosen will be paid $8.00 per hour. Work will begin on June 15^th and end before September 30, 2009.

Applicants must be considered low-income and qualify by one of the following options: (1) a school drop-out, (2) homeless, runaway or foster child, (3) pregnant or a parenting teen, (4) an offender, or (5) and individual with a disability who requires additional assistance to complete an educational program to secure and hold employment. If applicant is still attending school, the applicant will be considered if he/she is two or more grade levels below current grade in mathematics and reading or has scored below the minimum standards established by the state of Pennsylvania System of School Assessment.
